ConsimWorld is the reference Information Centre and Discussion Forum for wargamers, where the game’s intelligentsia -game designers, competition sharks, and all sort of geeks- holds court. The site carries most hobby news, including new releases, announcements and reviews. All is archived and indexed. With more than 8,000 registered gamers, it is an invaluable resource. Membership is no longer free, but guest access is.

BoardGameGeek is an online board gaming resource and community. The site features a wide-ranging compilation of game informations. Each game is broadly described, a discussion forum and many relevant resources are attached, and the game’s quality is assessed by the community of players. Highly informative. Free registration. It is also a dynamic games’ marketplace.
  • Web-Grognards | P

The forerunner of most major wargamers’ sites, the Web-Grognards’ have a wide collection of information on many hundreds of conflict simulation game, including (but not limited to) rules errata and variants, game reviews and links to relevant web sites. The emphasis is on board wargames, but miniatures, computer and card-based wargames are also covered.
  • Paths of Glory; Official Historical Scenario

Proposed by Ted Raicer, a set of rectifications for some of the major issues of the original system. This historical scenario brings the game appreciably closer to historical plausibility.
  • Paths of Glory; Complete Official Historical Set-Up

This is an alternate set-up, truer to history, proposed by Ted Raicer. It can be played in conjunction with the Official historical Scenario, for a game more in accordance with historical reality. All other errata and clarifications have already been integrated in the latest (2004) version of the rules available on GMT’s PoG page.
  • Paths of Glory; Historical Scenario Version 2c, by C Schwalm

Another attempt to restrict the game’s a-historical deviancies.
  • Hill 621| Variant cards

A set of 4 CP and 4 Allied variant cards. Pertinent issues are considered, which have also been addressed in our variant, such as the French Plan XVII offensive, the French FT17 tanks, and Stosstruppen. Nice, although most cards seem a little misconceived in terms of usefulness, balance or impact. Cards in English, rationale in French.
  • Ed McGran’s PoG variant cards

A large set of variant cards. Probably untested, they should be seen as a collection of higgledy-piggledy ideas rather than a viable gaming alternative.
